From the very first verse, Mark declares that Jesus is the Son of God — and everything that follows is an invitation to decide what we'll do with that claim. His baptism and temptation reveal a Messiah who is both fully divine and fully committed to walking the human road alongside us.

As the final message in our series, we turn our gaze outward — beyond the walls of our church and into the community God has called Trinity to serve with purpose and presence in this new ministry year. This message explores what it looks like to be intentionally present with those outside our church family, meeting people where they are with the love, compassion, and hope that only Christ can offer. We will also cast a vision for what God is stirring at Trinity in the year ahead, rallying together around a shared calling to make a lasting impact in the lives of those who need to experience His presence most.

In a world that is more connected than ever yet increasingly isolated, God calls us to something countercultural: to be truly and fully present with one another as His family. Authentic Christian community requires more than proximity or connection—it requires love that listens, notices, shows up, and stays.

We'll explore what it means to move beyond surface-level relationships and into the kind of intentional, attentive community that reflects the love of Christ and strengthens the body of the church. Together, we'll ask: What does the way we spend our time reveal about what we love? And how might God be inviting us to reorder our lives so that we have greater capacity to love, listen, serve, and walk faithfully with one another?

Because real love costs us something—our comfort, our preferences, our distractions, and our tendency to put ourselves first. Being present is one way we choose to love.

In this series, we'll look at what it means to be fully present in a distracted world. Present with God, present with one other, and finally present with the world and its needs. We'll talk about disciplines and habits that can get us there, have the option of receiving daily devotional reminders, and encourage one another on the journey.

This message, we'll look at the problem of finding time to connect with God in a busy and distracted world. We'll also look at some different spiritual pathways, because what works for someone else in connecting with God, may not work for you.

We discover that self-control may not mean what we think it means. We often associate self-control with willpower: trying harder, resisting temptation, and getting ourselves under control. But Scripture takes us deeper. Beneath every struggle with our desires, appetites, anger, comfort, and temptation is a greater battle—the battle for mastery.

What has the greatest influence over your heart? What shapes your desires and ultimately receives your obedience? We'll discover why biblical self-control isn’t the achievement of a stronger self, but the fruit of a surrendered one, and how the Spirit of God forms us, little by little, into the likeness of Jesus.

God has always been faithful to keep His promises. Throughout Scripture, He enters into covenant with His people and remains steadfast even when they are not. Jonathan reflects that same kind of faithfulness in his covenant with David, choosing loyalty to God's purposes over his own future, his family, and even his claim to the throne. His story reminds us that true faithfulness isn't measured when keeping a promise is easy, but when it costs us something. As followers of Jesus, we're called to reflect God's unwavering faithfulness by keeping our promises with the same steadfast love He has shown us.

Patience isn't simply waiting—it's allowing God to shape us through the waiting. This week's message explores the biblical meaning of patience as being "long-tempered," encouraging us to trust God's timing rather than rushing ahead of His plans. We'll discover how waiting well means crying out to the Lord, remembering His faithfulness, responding with praise, and recognizing that God's patience reflects His desire for everyone to come to know Him.

In our culture, it seems that kindness and politeness are the same idea, but as we study this fruit (our Spiritual qualities), we see a different meaning. Kindness, as we see in Galatians chapter 5, is really a spiritual quality encouraged by the Holy Spirit that relates to others with goodness, generosity, and graciousness. We'll explore the cost of kindness, our motivation, and how we can be agents of kindness to the world around us.

The word "love" gets used to describe everything from our favorite food to our deepest relationships, but in 1 Corinthians 13, the Apostle Paul strips away every shallow definition and reveals what love truly is in the Kingdom of God. This message dives into the richness of the biblical understanding of love — patient, selfless, enduring, and rooted not in feeling but in intentional choice — painting a picture of love that looks radically different from what our culture so often celebrates. As followers of Jesus, we will explore what it practically looks like to live out this kind of love every day, allowing the fruit of love to grow in us and flow through us into every relationship and every corner of our lives.
