December 18, 2024 Catechesis Advent Four – December 18, 2024
On Wednesday nights, Trinity Lutheran Church(Herrin, IL) offers to both children and adults an opportunity for teaching with Learn-by-Heart at 6:30 PM and a catechetical service at 7:00 PM.
This service is designed to prepare God’s people for the theme of the upcoming Sunday Divine Service. The dialog sermon explains “The Testimony of John” (St. John 1:19-28), which is the Holy Gospel for Fourth Sunday in Advent.
Learn-by-Heart will include “Word Supreme, Before Creation” (The Augustana Service Book and Hymnal #72), Small Catechism, Holy Baptism, Questions 1 & 2 and their meanings, and 1 Peter 3:21.
