David Moody, owner of David's Cruise Vacations just returned (July 2021) from Greece, and oh what a spectacular trip. Our guest is Renee Cherez. She's a former New York City school teacher who left it all behind to scratch her travel itch and love of other cultures. She first came to our attention for an article she wrote for Lonely Planet---Why Jamaica is the Perfect Kid Friendly Destination. After our initial discussion we discovered a fascinating tale of global travel adventure that left us speechless.

She set out on her first solo trip in 2017 to Southeast Asia---Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Nepal and India. She was gone for 67 days. Listen as she tells you what it's like to travel as a solo Black female traveler to places she's never been, and why she prefers to go it alone.

"I have been tested emotionally, physically, mentally, intellectually, and spiritually and I can only describe it as beautiful chaos," says Cherez.

Our adventure travel guru Katherine Parker Magyar spent a couple of weeks in the Maldives (June 2021) and came back with more exciting experiences than a single podcast can hold, but we certainly tried our best to get it all in.
