The baby boomers were that generation which were born immediately after World War II. They are now senior citizens in the UK - and a powerful economic group - the pensioners !.

The conservative party are desperate for the baby boomers votes - hence promising locking pensions to inflation and just about anything else they can which would persuade them to give the Tories their vote.
