Triple M Rock

Jamie Gray is the founder of Music in Paradise, an experience that's taken some of Australia's biggest artists and curates some amazing gigs all around the world giving fans the chance to see their favourite artists up close, while enjoying an unforgettable holiday at the same time.

But the story actually goes way back, starting with Jamie's love of surfing, music and travel, and a pretty crazy idea involving Donavon Frankenreiter in the Maldives.

So how do you turn that idea into a business that's been running for more than a decade, working with some of the biggest names in Australian music?

Find out here, plus check out all of the massive names performing, including Tash Sultana announced this week!

Montaigne is celebrating the 10th anniversary of her breakthrough album, Glorious Heights — the record that propelled her onto the Australian music scene, selling out shows and quickly making her a festival favourite.

It was great to have Montaigne in the studio to reflect on the legacy of the album, some of those incredible “pinch yourself” moments along the way, and the tour celebrating this pretty amazing milestone.

Katy Steele is one of our favourite Australian singer-songwriters, and she's back with a run of stripped-back shows across the country from October!

She released her beautiful new record, UNDRESSED Vol. 1, back in April — a mix of originals and carefully chosen covers, recorded across studios around the world.

Now she's bringing these songs to the stage in a stripped-back setting, and if you're a Katy Steele or Little Birdy fan, these shows are a MUST!

Live Nation has launched Next On, a fantastic new initiative designed to give the next generation of Australian and New Zealand artists a genuine leg-up!

I caught up with Emily Taylor from Live Nation to chat about how the program works, why giving emerging artists access to major venues and industry support can make such a difference, and what they’re looking for when it comes to finding the next big thing.

We also talked about some of the artists who have already come through the program and why Next On could be a pretty exciting opportunity for artists looking to take that next big step.

We welcome the incredible Kate Duncan from The Push to talk about their incredible 40th Milestone!

From its iconic Push Over festival, which gave generations of young music fans and artists the chance to experience live music, to its continued work creating opportunities for young people across the country, The Push has played a huge role in shaping Australia’s music scene.

To mark the milestone, Push Over is returning to Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens this November, bringing together legendary alumni including Bodyjar, Frenzal Rhomb, Killing Heidi, Magic Dirt and Regurgitator, alongside a new generation of artists including Alex Lahey, Alice Ivy, Baker Boy, Ruby Fields and members of Teenage Joans and Public Figures.

It’s a celebration of The Push’s incredible history, its impact on young Australians and the future of live music.
