Lv: Saulainā vēlā vasaras rītā Jānis steidzās uz savu darbu modernajā korporācijas birojā.
En: On a sunny late summer morning, Jānis hurried to his job at the modern corporation office.

Lv: Viņš bija analītiķis, kurš rūpīgi gatavojās lielai sapulcei.
En: He was an analyst diligently preparing for a big meeting.

Lv: Jāņa uzdevums bija prezentēt ceturkšņa atskaiti.
En: Jānis's task was to present the quarterly report.

Lv: Šī bija viņa iespēja pierādīt sevi un saņemt paaugstinājumu, par ko viņš tik ilgi bija sapņojis.
En: This was his chance to prove himself and receive the promotion he had long dreamed of.
