Trolley Problem, Inc. Podcast

This week we are joined by Lewis Brindley, co-founder of The Yogscast. Would Lewis pull the lever in the original Trolley Problem? Who in the Yogscast Network would he prefer to make the decision if he was tied to a track? Would he use Super Lewis super-powers to change the direction of an avalanche? And what circumstances, specifically, would cause him to choose to kill 600,000 people? Find out the answers to these and more in this week's pod.

Videogame royalty Charles Cecil MBE (or was it OBE - we get the two confused) - joins Samuel and Simon this week for a discussion about ethics, AI and sometimes both. Find out whether he would program a car to run over a child or if you should keep your voice down if he's within earshot in this week's fascinating episode.

This week we are joined by the extraordinary talent behind Trolley Problem, Inc’s narrator – voice actor and impressionist Jan Ravens (@thatjanravens). Players have been berated by their choices in the game, but what would Jan do if presented by a lever? And will Polly, Tyrone and the random traveller who happens to have five suitable organs survive?

The pod is thrown into disarray as COVID strikes preparations – but we’ve still got a brilliant episode for you this week. Join ex PC Zone editor and current Managing Director of Game Republic Jamie Sefton (@Seffers007) as we find out how many people she would save by pulling a lever, whether he thinks AI should make decisions for itself and if he believes it’s inevitable robots will eventually replace us all.

This week we are joined by Briony (https://www.twitch.tv/brionykay) and Kirsty (https://www.twitch.tv/kirsty) – two content creators who stream on Twitch, but also host the ‘Comfort Zone’ podcast, which records and tries to understand their dreams. So it may come as some surprise that the pair are our most ruthless yet, as they debate three medical-themed trolley problem dilemmas. From the original trolly problem to the beneficiary of organs – no-one is safe. See if you agree with their reasoning.
