Hello hello everybody and welcome back to episode 44 of Trophy Talk! This marks our second episode of Spooktober , a time of year full of frights, candy, scary pumpkins, and creepy monsters. Well, if you choose to engage in those sorts of media at least. This episode is a big one for us, as the second episode of the month the hosts dive deep into what we've been playing for the month of October! And, speaking of hosts, for the first time in a few episodes, the whole gang is back together. In this episode of the bi-weekly trophy hunting podcast we go in depth with the things that everyone wants to know... what animal would we turn into if given the choice? If Colin was a bird would he still need glasses? Should you gamble? Do we pick trophies based on the Platinum trophy artwork? What does Trophy Hunting mean to us? As you can see, we get pretty serious indeed. From there we announce the winners of the second leg of our trophy hunting race from the discord, and do a full discussion on what games from the Sony 2021 September Showcase interested us. We close with a look at the Deathloop trophy list. As the game isn't out yet, guides don't exist, and there are still huge questions to be answered about this game, there's lots we still don't know. Boy do we have some bangers for you this time. We start the show off by asking, what is the proper time to dispose of a pair of socks or underwear? You'd be surprised just how deep this conversation can get. From there we get serenaded by some dad jokes before moving on to answer questions like, what movies are infinity rewatchable? What are some of the best and worst dreams we've had? And, if we could bring private servers to life for a game that lost them which one would it be? The second half of the show focuses on what we've been playing. Eli gushes about his ever growing love for virtual Legos, aka "Minecraft" and gets excited that he's nearly done with "Doom: Eternal." Darryl shares his first war stories from "Wolfenstein II" and his slow practice runs leading up to Mein Lieben. Colin cleans up an old classic in "Mass Effect" , and polishes off the full "Spyro Reignited Trilogy" which in turn reignites his interest in 3D platformers. See what we did there? So, as a result, this episode has three trophy list discussions and breakdowns. The crew spends a good chunk of time breaking down all of the PS+ offerings for August 2021. Are any of the pretty grindy and multiplayer heavy lists worth your time? That depends on what you're looking for! At the top of the show the crew covers some changes to the formatting for episodes moving forward. Don't worry. The schedule and cadence up uploads will not be changing but the content per month will now be divided into a more news and discussion heavy episode , and a more deep dive into what we've been playing in the second episode of each month. After that we get into the listener / Patreon submitted questions. Topics include, what genre's we avoid trophy hunting in, what game we're looking forward to most, and how we all balance our schedules to be able to game and trophy hunt. After that we dive deep into a discussion of Norse mythology and the trophy list for the newly released Tribes of Midgard. Overall, the list is pretty good in terms of distribution, and artwork. However, the market is flooded with these games as service, and season / battle pass heavy experiences. Does the industry really need more of these? Finally, the crew closes up the show with what we've been playing. Eli continues to trudge through hell and the bodies of felled demons in Doom Eternal. Colin comes near the end of his journey in Demon's Souls and discovers the joy of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. Hello everyone and welcome back to Episode 37 of the show! We've got quite a bit to cover in this episode so sit back, relax, grab some popcorn and get ready. The gang starts out with a discussion about the titles shown at Sony's most recent State of Play Event, namely Sifu, Deathloop, Lost Judgement, and Death Stranding. Overall we can't help but feel that some of the art directions, and overall game directions for titles these days don't jive with our gaming sensibilities. After that we answer a Patreon submitted question concerning game recommendations for the listeners, and have a broad discussion about the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 trophy list. What can Treyarch and the Call of Duty games do to make their trophy lists, specifically those centered around the zombies game mode, more accessible? We have some ideas. Finally, the show closes with what we've been playing. Darryl has found himself drawn in more and more to Resident Evil: Village. Hello and welcome back everyone to another episode of Trophy Talk Podcast! We've got a bit of a lengthy episode for you today, but there was quite a bit to discuss. For starters, Colin has finally procured his PS5 along with the "Pulse" headset from Sony. Suffice it to say, he's got quite a bit to say about it, and Eli chimes in for a solid discussion regarding the two pieces of hardware. From there we get into Patreon submitted questions including discussions on auto popping trophy lists from PS4 on PS5, what games we think should get the PS5 treatment / boost, and our overall thoughts on the "Dual Sense" controller. After that, the gang discusses the trophy list for, "A Plague Tale: Innocence" which was recently announced as a PS+ offering for July. To cap off the show we talk about what we've been playing. Darryl heaps quite a lot of praise and renown onto "Ghost of Tsushima" (days before the directors cut official announcement). Eli has been slaying demons left and right but mostly just multiple times in a row in "Doom 2016" and "Demon's Souls", and Colin lunges forward in his completion percentage of "Mass Effect".
