“Comer” is a pretty straightforward verb but, it is irregular and so commonly used you should make sure you know how to handle it. At the same time, we do have some idiomatic uses of this verb that have nothing to do with “to eat”, plus there’s the word “como” which seems to be related but isn’t at all.
