Troubles Wrestling

Jim Fannin is a name any super nerd of indie wrestling from the 2000s will know and have something memorable to mention about him. Part promoter, commentator, ring announcer, and manager extraordinaire Jim was a staple of the glory days of IWA Mid South and he tells a lot of tremendous tales about his time with the company, the Big Blue Barn venue and what led to him wrestling Dave Prazak in the pouring rain right outside the venue! This was a bucket list thing for me, a kid that watched a ton of IWA MS in a dark bedroom as an angsty teenager.Go follow Jim on social media at:

I was beyond thrilled to sit down and talk with wXw English commentator and all around great dude Mett Dimassi and dive into not only his upbringing in Lebanon, but his beginnings in pro wrestling as a fan and later, as a trained wrestler and commentator. Mett is one of the best in the world on commentary and I think you'll love this one!Mett is on social media over at:

We had to make an executive decision, no not THAT kind of executive or THAT kind of decision. Since there is no Clash between SuperBrawl and WrestleWar in May, we pivoted to the bizarre PPV released NJPW and WCW Supershow and the TV leading up was a doozy! Rick Rude rules, Taylor Made Man drools. As always, Jim is over on social media at: https://www.threads.com/@thejimdb

It's a completely insane episode of From Crockett to Chaos for a lot of reasons. For one, our TV stash was low so we kind of went nuts and maybe got a little ELEVATED while taking notes on any and all things surrounding SuperBrawl II! Liger and PIllman change wrestling in the States! Rude and Steamboat have a classic! The Tag Title Match had a case of the Dusty Finishes! A ton of needless underneath stupidity! Jim showed me his nipples...

It's the final episode on 1991 and it's as mixed of a bag as the entire year because it's the inaugural Battlebowl- Lethal Lottery! Oh you don't know the rules? We break it down! There were some amazing debuts, some shocking returns, and sadly people we wanted to leave that stuck around (you Zemen, you!) We are deep in the Lex Luger World Championship reign and well, it's feeling a little out of place. Not one but TWO huge title changes, and perhaps the best WCW tag match ever performed. It might be the hellscape that is 1991 but we're heading towards perhaps WCW's most underrated year ever. Then again, we have BattleBowl to get through...Jim is on social media over at:https://bsky.app/profile/thejimdb.bsky.socialhttps://www.threads.com/@thejimdbThe Troubles feeds are:https://www.threads.com/@troubleswres https://bsky.app/profile/troubleswres.bsky.socialhttps://www.instagram.com/troubleswres/https://x.com/TroublesWres
