After TWENTY years Joseph is brought face to face with his brothers who betrayed him and sold him into slavery. Although he would be completely justified to take revenge upon them, Joseph begins a process that provides for them and all their families - and leads to their ultimate restoration. So very like Jesus.

As Joseph is brought before Pharaoh, he not only gives the king information… but he also has the understand to know what needs to be done. Pharaoh has the choice whether to listen to God and be blessed, or go his own way.

Many of us have heard that verse from the New Testament: For many are called, but few are chosen. But most of us have never dug into the story Jesus tells directly leading into that statement. In this message Pastor Joseph gives some crucial context that helps us to get the actual meaning of Jesus’ words.

It’s a truly incredible set of circumstances that brings Joseph out of the prison - A circumstance that only God Himself could’ve orchestrated. And at every turn, Joseph is careful to keep the spotlight on God… and only say what GOD has said.

Jesus prayed for us that we would bear fruit… and that it would be fruit that remains. We were created by God to have impact beyond our own lives, impact that outlives us. But the only way we’re ever going to get there is by being planted in the House of God.

If Joseph had not given 100% and worked hard… and if Joseph had not shown real compassion - in a tough place that he truly didn’t deserve - he would’ve never moved forward into God’s plan.
