Life has a way of slowly making your heart guarded... cold, almost. People hurt you, situations disappoint, expectations fall short, and we unknowingly begin to freeze our hearts so they can’t get hurt any more. How do we thaw frozen hearts? Can God still use a heart that was once frozen, and make it pure once again?

How do we keep a pure heart in a not-so-pure world? How do we see ourselves as valuable when the world is constantly telling you otherwise? Pastor Tyler Gramling shares the simple truth of having a heart after God’s own heart... even in a broken and fallen world.

Faith... it’s a word we use a lot with many meanings. There’s your dog who’s known as your “faithful companion”. There’s the churchy-type of faith... faith in God. There’s faith in your life situation, that the bad days will eventually fade to good days. Do you have faith? What does it take to have that “great faith” that God talks about in the Bible?

Continuing the study of 2 Timothy and of Paul’s life from death row, we look at the idea of suffering and endurance. Is there a purpose in suffering? Does endurance really come as a result of suffering? And the big question... does God remain faithful, even when we feel abandoned in our suffering?

When things get hard, what do you do? Do you shy away from the challenges or do you face them, head on? When challenges are thrown your way—and there’s no doubt you will face challenges in your life—God had equipped you to be able to face AND overcome these challenges. We continue to look at the lives of Paul and Timothy to learn to remember God’s faithfulness each and every day.

Love... it’s a word that’s thrown around in society in countless instances and situations. There’s so many kinds of love, and it’s an institution created by and endorsed by God Himself. How do we love? What does holy love... the kind of love that God created... look like?

Loyalty... maybe what immediately comes to mind is a dog who has unending devotion to its master. Or maybe it’s the football player who proudly wears his team’s colors, both on and off the field. But what does biblical loyalty look like? Continuing our study of 2 Timothy, Paul paints us a clear picture of what true loyalty looks like.

If we want to be successful in life, what does that take? What kind of sacrifices do we need to make in our lives? What behaviors, or habits, do I need to focus on to be successful this year? It sounds hard. But success is on the other side of the hard stuff... are you in?

In this first installation of our journey through the book of 2 Timothy, we are introduced to Paul and Timothy... two integral characters of this book of the Bible. Who was Paul? Who was Timothy? What can we learn from them that we can apply to our lives TODAY?

New year, new you... right? The truth is, our words matter. We need to learn how to speak, when to speak... and also when NOT to speak and keep our mouths shut. Words can build up and make for success, but they also have the power to tear down and hold us back from success. How can we make this year the year we use our speech for GOOD, to propel us into the future God has for us?
