Football season comes alive as Week 0 is underway and NFL preseason comes to an end. Nicholls and Southern take the national stage to open the 2025 College Football season. Spencer Rattler will lead the Saints in his second Preseason start.

Week two of the preseason brings the Saints home to face last year's Hesiman Trophy Winner Travis Hunter and the rest of a new look Jags offense. The match up puts two first year head coaches in the spotlight as the Saints look to find out more as position battles continue in all three phases of the game.

The UFC fights in Louisiana for the first time since 2015 as Dustin Poirier is intending to lay down the gloves in his home state. Max Holloway is ready to play villain and put himself back in title contention with a win vs a legend of the sport. Down card two Louisiana tied fighters Brendan Allen fighting out of Covington and Carli Judice from Lafayette. We give predictions for fight of the night as Louisiana looks to make an impact on the combat sports world and secure future events.

The LSU Tigers look to complete business in Omaha and lift their Eighth National Championship Trophy this weekend. Jay Johnson has the opportunity to become only the second non Olympic sports head coach in LSU history to obtain multiple national titles at LSU. This represents the last College World Series before the effects of the House Settlement and increased roster limits alter the way baseball teams are constructed in the future. LSU has relied on stars like Steven Milam and Jared Jones to create game shifting moments that lead the Tigers to thrilling victories. Coastal Carolina represents a new threat as a team has not lost a game since April and is at an all-time high in confidence heading into the series. LSU will have to play very solid both defensively and create adequate run support to keep the College World Series leading Run  output to a minimum. With the LSU Bullpen on full rest it will be a matter of critical coaching decisions and players elevating themselves when most needed to ensure that LSU prevails and takes home an Eighth National Title.

The Saints are now in a full rebuild as Derek Carr announces he will retire. The move is a major opportunity for the franchise as it allows for the salary cap to be cleared for future moves speeding up the Kellen Moore rebuild. Tyler Shough and Spencer Rattler are now in a quarterback battle that could go all the way up to week one.

Late on Sunday night A.J. Haulcy made his commitment to LSU known. The Safety was 1st Team Big 12 in 2024 and has contributed to over 250 tackles in 3 years of college football. His addition will only add to the depth now sitting in the LSU Secondary lead by coach Corey Raymond.

With a strong performance against the Cowboys the NFL is aware of the Saints high powered offense. Klint Kubiak will need to keep things fresh as the Eagles come to town looking to bounce back after a late game heart breaker vs the Falcons.

The Tigers are out to put the Bruins away quickly and catch their breath after a back amd forth contest in Columbia. The Bruins are struggling to make progress with their offense despite early season struggles. The Blake Baker lead defense will be looking for an opportunity to bounce back and make up for a rough start early.

The Green Wave have given K-State and Oklahoma all they wanted but could not find victory. The Cajuns will be coming off a bye week after convincing victories against Grambling and Kennesaw St. The winner will keep a dream of a playoff birth alive, while the losing squad will have to recoup and focus on conference play to come.

The LA Tech Bulldogs were surprising in their game against NC ST but fell short as the game wore down. The Bulldogs face easier competition at home against the Golden Hurricanes. With some new confidence under their belt this could be the start of a win streak for the Bulldogs.

The Saints get ready for week 2 and LSU is opening up SEC on the road in Columbia. Tulane will show out on National TV for the second week in a row. Tech goes on the road to Raleigh looking for a chance to elevate the program with an upsets. Plus Southern vs Jackson St is a feature of the week as we get you ready for Football.

The Saints are ready to get the season underway against the Carolina Panthers. In a season where every win will play a major impact on the playoff chances Dennis Allen's team must take advantage of opportunities like Week 1. The Saints are favored but a challenging slate will come over the following 4 games. If the Saints want to still be in the hunt in October a week one win could point them in the right direction.

Tulane is ready to host another big name team at Yulman Stadium as ranked K-State is coming to Uptown. The Wildcats are the opportunity coach Jon Sumrall has been eyeing to test his team. Will the QB questions be answered in this game are will we continue to see action from multiple quarterbacks.

LSU is looking to rebound after their opening loss. The Tigers need to get out to a lead early and get experience for not only their starters but now new players such as Caden Durham and Ju'Juan Johnson who may be seeing significant playing time at the running back position. Brian Kelly knows that his team will rebound from their loss. However it will be up to the players to determine if the energy will be there to put away Nichols early and allow critical snaps for down roster players.
