We are excited to share the fourth episode of True Brotherhood. May it be a light in your day. 

1. Minutes 00:00 - 21:54 Our passions are reflected in the focus of college studies. Thomas: God and His Word; Preston: Saxophone

Recently, both of us re-enrolled in college. For Thomas this is a single online course at Liberty University. Within the long-term goal of a degree in ministry for pastoring full-time, next to working a regular job. My passion is teaching the Bible and mending the minds, hearts, and hopes of men and women with God’s Word and love.

Preston is returning to Missouri Southern State University to pursue a music major, again playing the saxophone. He will now play in the marching band and will start pursuing general education credits in the summer.

2. Minutes 21:55 - 45:59 Philippians 3 read and discussed. The hope-filled Isaiah 49 read.

Philippians 3 warns not to put confidence in the flesh. Thomas shares the story of the meeting of an Aramean brother at the library, who expressed a wish for circumcision to be more common in Europe, as it is in the Middle East today.

Knowledge of Christ surpasses all worldly achievements. Carrying the cross and following the Lord, not having your righteousness but one that depends on faith, is something I wish all of us to have.

Our citizenship is in heaven, and we look forward when we make a mistake. God is powerful enough to change your destination, impacting what your past story means now and in the future.

God has given us this hope of everlasting hope, and looking forward gives us hope. Looking back is not a path toward closeness with God but an invitation to bitterness.

Isaiah 49 is filled with hope of restoration, which gives us reason to worship the God, who gives this hope.

2-minute ministry highlight of my German church 

Germany has less than 2% committed Christians. According to the Joshua Project and Operation World. Correction: I said „World Vision,“ not Operation World. I confused the two organizations in the video.

We have a treasure that is more precious than everything. May we work together and shine our light to the glory of God. For me, with my congregation of the Freie evangelische Gemeinde „Unterwegs“ in Mönchengladbach, Germany, a city with a population of around 276,000 people, as of 2023. Germany is a very post-Christian culture. 

We, who are Christians, are carriers of eternal life and have this precious treasure to shine in our city. We have eternal to share with those without it.

Preston shares about working at BioLife, currently taking vitals and soon training to be a phlebotomist and Thomas shares about working for FWG-IHW technical springs on their production level.

Through a weekly Bible study, Thursday nights at the gym, another Bible study connected to the gym, Saturday nights, and via Christian brothers and sisters attend classes there togehter, Preston is refreshed in the Lord at Body and Soul Transformation in Webb City, MO.
