Today we're discussing book #109 The Mystery of the Masked Rider!

Nancy and Bess go to visit their friend from high school, Colleen Healey, who is gearing up to show her horse, Nightingale, in a competition, but odd things keep happening to Nightingale! The horse is found roaming loose outside of her stall one night, even though Colleen swears she locked her in, nails are placed in her stall and many other scary forms of sabotage keep occurring!

Who could be guilty of trying to hurt Nightingale and also Colleen? Could it be another rider in the competition? A girl who wants to buy Nightingale and won't take no for an answer? A local horse trainer who had an accident at a previous Olympics and is desperate to win? Or Colleen's own boyfriend, Phil, who is jealous of the time and dedication it takes for her to participate in these shows? Only time and a little investigating will tell!

On this week's fun episode, we jump into book #108 The Secret of the Tibetan Treasure!

Nancy, Bess and George are at it again, solving another mystery, this time at the Clinton Park Museum! (Not sure where Ned is for this mystery, he did not make an appearance or even get a mention!)

Nancy is asked to help the museum curator, Nelson Stone, who appears to be receiving death threats, but when she shows up at the museum to talk to him, a priceless Tibetan artifact, The Golden Horse, is stolen! Nancy quickly gets roped into trying to also help the museum locate the missing art piece.

Suspects abound, in the form of wealthy socialites, professors and jewelry makers in this mystery! If you liked the game The Secret of the Scarlet Hand, I have a feeling you'll like this one! (Or at least it will tide you over until we get to mystery #124 that goes by the same name!)

For this episode, we continue to the next book in the series, #107 The Legend of Miner's Creek!

Nancy, Bess and George travel to the Cascade Mountains in Washington state to visit a friend of Carson's, Charlie Griffen, who also has a granddaughter close to their age, Rachel.

Charlie is trying to sell the land his resort, Highland Retreat, sits on in order to pay for Rachel's college tuition. The government and a few other agencies have made offers, but things seem to keep going wrong at every turn. Forrest fires, explosions and cars turned loose without drivers are only a few of the things going on!

It's up to Nancy and her friends to solve yet another case!

I hope you enjoy this episode! (This book reminded me a lot of the Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon because of the mining aspect of it!)

For this week's episode, we continue our journey through the later paperback Nancy Drew books, this time covering book #106 The Case of the Artful Crime!

Bess is working as a coat check girl at a ritzy River Heights restaurant, The Arizona House, and sabotage is on the menu! Bess talks Nancy and her detective skills up to the owner, Shawn Morgan, who hires her as an incognito waitress so she can see who's spoiling the soup!

Disasters abound and there are some pretty high STEAKS in this one. Sorry, I had to!

For this week's episode, we discuss book #105 The Clue in the Antique Trunk, not to be confused with an earlier mystery story book, #17 The Mystery of the Brass Bound Trunk!

Nancy, Bess and George go up to New England to see an old neighbor, Vera Alexander, who is putting on a craft fair in the little town of White Falls, but things are not as they seem. Vera has been receiving threats in connection with a town historical museum she is trying to get off the ground.

Could a sleazy real estate agent in town be guilty of threatening Vera? Or someone else entirely? And how does a 50 year old murder and a missing fortune factor into this mystery?

Nancy, Bess and George all head to San Francisco to attend a friend's wedding and also help out a friend of Carson's, Terry Kirkland, who recently lost his wife and is singlehandedly trying to raise their daughter Amy.

But Terry has also been experiencing home break ins--two, in fact, just before the girls arrive, and one right after they do. Are the break ins connected to the time Terry spent in Vietnam as a soldier?

On this episode, we jump into book #103: The Stranger in the Shadows!

Nancy and Bess are hanging out with a neighbor of Nancy's, Suzanne Moorely, who is hosting an exchange student Paula de Jaeger, who is from the Netherlands.

But Suzanne thinks something is going on with Paula. Could Paula be involved in something nefarious, or is Suzanne merely jealous?

This mystery is a slow one to start, but once it picks up, it picks UP.

Can Nancy solve the case?

I had so much fun getting to go on this trip and it was a once in a lifetime experience! I got to meet so many Nancy Drew fans in person, go kayaking and on a whale watching tour and just have an incredible amount of fun!

On this week's episode, we talk about the beloved HerInteractive computer game, game #10 The Secret of Shadow Ranch, which is based on the fifth classic book in the series by the same name!

Nancy, Bess and George head to Shadow Ranch for some horseback riding, hanging out with cowboys, and general fun...but then, Bess and George experience travel mishap after travel mishap..and a phantom horse makes an appearance shortly after Uncle Ed has to go to the hospital for a rattlesnake bite! The pump house has a pipe burst, and it seems like Shadow Ranch is not the most restful place for a vacation after all!

I talk all about one of the most beloved games--and books!--in the franchise. We discuss quotes, I do some truly horrible impressions, the music, the plot and everything in between.

So...uh, do you have a steady back home? Don't feel like you have to answer that, haha!

Noises near the windows of her apartment, threatening notes and strange cooincedences...

Can Nancy help Bess's friend and keep herself out of danger in the process?
