For this week's episode, Nancy, Bess and George set out to solve a hometown mystery involving the River Heights rec center. Mrs. McGregor, who leads the senior activities, seems to be getting some threatening notes!

Could the person behind the threats be trying to get the rec center for their own personal gain? Or does someone have a personal vendetta against Mrs. McGregor? It's up to the girls to find out!

Nancy is off to solve another mystery on behalf of a neighbor and friend, Mrs. Petrov, who is concerned about her daughter Linda. Linda has recently married Hugh Penvellyn and inherited not only an estate, but a stepdaughter, Jane. But things are not as they seem at Blackmoor Manor. Sounds emanate from the walls, chanting can be heard and does an actual beast roam around on the moors at night?

Nancy, Bess and George's former babysitter has entered her Persian cat, Purrfect into the show. Purrfect has quite the pedigree and is also set to star in a national cat food television commercial, but everything is not sunshine and roses.

Andrea and her husband Tad have hit a rocky spot in their relationship and tensions are running high between the other cat show competitors. And just before Purrfect is set to take the stage--she goes missing!

Could another competitor have stolen the pedigreed Persian? Andrea's soon to be ex? Or is there a more sinister plot behind the kitty kidnapping?

Nancy has been asked by Patricia Newcomb, a friend of Carson's, to help her get to the bottom of who has been sabotaging the seaport's maritime museum, but when Nancy almost gets harpooned, she quickly realizes whoever they are dealing with is no amateur!

Can Nancy and George figure out who is behind the sabotage and what their end goal is?

For this week's episode, we read and talk about book #112 Crime in the Queen's Court!

Nancy, Bess and George are volunteering to help out with an Elizabethan themed festival put on by a theater troupe in River Heights. There are Shakespearian plays, archery and weapon demonstrations, banquets and dancing, but something wicked this way comes!

Disasters plague the festival in the form of broken props, fake weapons switched out for real ones, and creepy notes left at the scenes of the accidents. Who could be behind the sabotage? One of the actors who doesn't think they're appreciated enough? The prop master? Or someone else entirely?

Hello, True Drews!

Well...I have to issue a serious content warning on this episode. *This book talks a lot about body image issues, namely, through the scope of 1990's diet culture and unfortunately, Bess Marvin is at the center of all of it. I really (spoiler alert) was not a fan of this book!

But Nancy, Bess and George find themselves at Spa Solaire, a ritzy spa out in the Arizona desert, after Bess sells the most of their products in the midwest. As soon as the girls arrive though, things are not as they appear.

Someone is sabotaging the resort and the owners seem to be the targets! Bess also gets sucked into the overly rigorous exercising and restricted dieting that the spa is known for, which worries her friends.

Will Bess snap out of it? Can Nancy solve the mystery? And who is actually guilty in this mystery and what is the crime they are guilty of? I would say I hope you enjoy this episode, but this one was a hard one for me to tackle.

Well, we went straight from a Halloween themed Nancy Drew book with last week's episode to a Christmas themed book for this week's episode!

Today we'll be talking about book #110 The Nutcracker Ballet Mystery!

Bess is helping out the owner of a local dance studio, Madame Dugrand, by assisting with costuming for the Christmas production of The Nutcracker Ballet, but weird things are happening at the dance studio.

Missing pointe shoes, a fire and destroyed costumes are only the tip of the iceberg! When the prop master quits, Nancy volunteers not only her prop wrangling skills, but her detective skills as well. It's up to her, Bess and George to solve the case and make sure the show goes on!

Today we're discussing book #109 The Mystery of the Masked Rider!

Nancy and Bess go to visit their friend from high school, Colleen Healey, who is gearing up to show her horse, Nightingale, in a competition, but odd things keep happening to Nightingale! The horse is found roaming loose outside of her stall one night, even though Colleen swears she locked her in, nails are placed in her stall and many other scary forms of sabotage keep occurring!

Who could be guilty of trying to hurt Nightingale and also Colleen? Could it be another rider in the competition? A girl who wants to buy Nightingale and won't take no for an answer? A local horse trainer who had an accident at a previous Olympics and is desperate to win? Or Colleen's own boyfriend, Phil, who is jealous of the time and dedication it takes for her to participate in these shows? Only time and a little investigating will tell!

I hope you all enjoy this episode! This book actually takes place over Halloween!

On this week's fun episode, we jump into book #108 The Secret of the Tibetan Treasure!

Nancy, Bess and George are at it again, solving another mystery, this time at the Clinton Park Museum! (Not sure where Ned is for this mystery, he did not make an appearance or even get a mention!)

Nancy is asked to help the museum curator, Nelson Stone, who appears to be receiving death threats, but when she shows up at the museum to talk to him, a priceless Tibetan artifact, The Golden Horse, is stolen! Nancy quickly gets roped into trying to also help the museum locate the missing art piece.

Suspects abound, in the form of wealthy socialites, professors and jewelry makers in this mystery! If you liked the game The Secret of the Scarlet Hand, I have a feeling you'll like this one! (Or at least it will tide you over until we get to mystery #124 that goes by the same name!)

For this episode, we continue to the next book in the series, #107 The Legend of Miner's Creek!

Nancy, Bess and George travel to the Cascade Mountains in Washington state to visit a friend of Carson's, Charlie Griffen, who also has a granddaughter close to their age, Rachel.

Charlie is trying to sell the land his resort, Highland Retreat, sits on in order to pay for Rachel's college tuition. The government and a few other agencies have made offers, but things seem to keep going wrong at every turn. Forrest fires, explosions and cars turned loose without drivers are only a few of the things going on!

It's up to Nancy and her friends to solve yet another case!

I hope you enjoy this episode! (This book reminded me a lot of the Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon because of the mining aspect of it!)
