Paul is not ashamed to proclaim the gospel and to be associated with the gospel message because it is the power of God to eternally save people who put their faith in God. We have no good reason to be ashamed of this powerful message.

Paul demonstrates Christian love to the Roman Christians that he has not yet met, and we can learn from his prayer, encouragement, and evangelism.

Paul begins his letter about the gospel with an introduction to God’s gospel message. We will study the book of Romans in depth for the rest of the school year over the course of 30 sermons.

Unchecked covetousness is the fuel for unchecked sin. We all need to check our hearts and repent of any covetousness.

Sinful humans are liars. God loves truth and hates deception. Our students need to be challenged and corrected by God’s simple law against bearing false witness against their brothers.

Admit that theft is a huge problem and commit to dealing honestly with the things that don’t belong to you.

The seventh commandment is intended to urge married men and women to be sexually faithful to each other for life. Our students are in a different phase of life, but they need to prepare for faithfulness by practicing purity of heart and life now before they get married.
