In this episode of True North, we sit down with Arne — a 72-year-old man whose life reads like a battlefield between darkness and destiny. From addiction, fear, and a suicide attempt… to radical freedom, spiritual power, and a prophetic calling for nations — his story is a full-force encounter with the living God.
Arne grew up in a broken home marked by alcohol, chaos, and fear — a childhood that pushed him into 20 years of addiction and self-destruction. At 34, he reached the end: a suicide attempt that should’ve taken his life… but didn’t. A woman heard an audible voice telling her to run — and found him just in time. That moment became the turning point.
After entering psychiatric care and wrestling through despair, Arne made a desperate call to a church. A stranger showed up with an old Bible, prayed with him, and left. And alone in his room, Arne prayed one more time — this time to receive Jesus. Instantly, every addiction broke. Medication dependency disappeared. Even his psychiatrist told him, “You’ve got everything you need,” and discharged him.
From that moment on, Arne’s life accelerated.
Within six months, he was working at the Evangelia Center helping addicts. Hunger for the Holy Spirit drove him deeper. A powerful encounter in Oslo shook him physically and spiritually. Soon after, he experienced one of the most unusual gifts: he supernaturally learned English in two months — allowing him to minister in the United States as a pastor and counselor.
Arne’s ministry in the US centered on deliverance, inner healing, and trauma recovery. He shares wild testimonies of healing, restored lives, Holy Spirit revelation, and supernatural provision. But he also opens up about the cost — opposition, misunderstanding, exhaustion, and being shut out of parts of the Norwegian church world because of his boldness about spiritual gifts.
Through all of it, Arne carries a clear conviction:
Your past does not define you. Your identity in Christ does.
He warns against a victim mindset, weak faith, and half-hearted Christianity — calling believers to step fully under the Lordship of Jesus, where real spiritual authority flows.
Arne goes deeper, analyzing the spiritual condition of Norway — from cultural passivity to missing courage — and he calls the nation back to repentance, strength, and its prophetic assignment. He envisions a church that operates like a round table: Jesus at the center, everyone empowered, no hierarchy, no control.
And he believes God is raising up a new generation — especially young men — who carry a raw, untamed, apostolic and prophetic edge. Men who understand the times. Men who refuse compromise. Men ready to take responsibility for their lives, their families, their calling, and their nation.
This episode is for anyone hungry to understand spiritual transformation, deliverance, calling, and the prophetic moment we’re living in. Arne’s story isn’t just a testimony — it’s a wake-up call.
If you’re searching for direction… if you're tired of drifting… if you know you were made for more — this is your compass.
Welcome to True North.
