In his inaugural season as head coach of the Soo Eagles, Jeremy Rebek has led the team to impressive heights in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL). After a modest 1-3 start, Rebek's leadership has propelled the Eagles to a remarkable 12-0-1 run leading up to the Christmas break, positioning them in third place with a 29-13-0-2 record. Rebek, a Sault Ste. Marie native, brings a wealth of experience from his tenure as an assistant coach with the Soo Thunderbirds, where he contributed to multiple championship victories. His coaching staff, comprising fellow locals Joe Miller, Kelsey Wilson, Donnie Bruni, and Blake Speers, has been instrumental in the team's success.
Eagles president and general manager Bruno Bragagnolo has lauded Rebek for his deep understanding of the game and his effective communication with players, noting that Rebek was his top choice for the head coaching position.
