In last week's podcast notes, I mentioned that we had been tossing around the idea of switching from a solely TA focussed podcast to a TGN podcast, where we can discuss and debate all of the latest news and games from both Xbox and PlayStation. Thankfully, the feedback was positive, and so this week, we'd like to introduce you to the very first episode of the TGN podcast!
Joining me on this week's show are Ollie and Sam, as we share out thoughts on the newly released Assassin's Creed Odyssey and discuss what could be next for Ubisoft's long-running franchise, discuss the leaked Harry Potter RPG footage, marvel at the latest Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay trailer, and look at what's now available for free in October's Games with Gold and PS Plus offerings. We also, give you the chance to win an Xbox One came code (leave us a comment in the thread below to enter), discuss this week's ID@Xbox streams, and answer your questions, including the question of the week.
We're back, though this episode is a little bit dated now. Who wants to talk about Netflix and gaming!? These guys do! Other mainstays also make an appearance throughout, however, so there will be some comforting news.
Final Fantasy XV will be getting a Royal Edition with several enhancements, including a boat you can pilot and new areas to explore, but base game owners will have to pay for these upgrades. Destiny 2 has been lying to you again, this time about what you can expect from the Faction Rally rewards, which have been stripped back since last season. The release date for God of War is finally here, and it promises to be pretty trippy.
That's just the peasant version of your Dragon Age "Living", not-amiibo-but-totally-amiibo-ing, Games Pass impact discussing Trophy Talk Podcast!
This week, we didn't have a lot to work with... or did we? In place of news, we discussed the upcoming games for 2018! What are you excited for?
So what is there for news? Sony sold a fair number of consoles for the Holidays, and reached more than 73 million units lifetime. PSVR also sold pretty well this year, bringing that above 2 million units. But what about the games, you ask? Well, Sony has also revealed the best selling games on PSN for 2017.
Those are just the LYs for this forward facing, KINGDOM HEARTS III doubting, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch skipping (bad gamer!) Trophy Talk Podcast!
This week, there's a lot of award talk to be had. The Video Game Awards have come and gone, as has PSX, and that's only the beginning of the news.
Bungie has messed up several things over the past couple of weeks; they are setting out to fix these issues, but is it enough? Capcom is winning on the other end of the spectrum by revealing that Mega Man 11 is in development as is a Mega Man X collection. Shawn Layden has finally spilled the beans about some progress being made towards PSN name changes with the hope that by this time next year, we'll be having a different conversation.
That's just the pre-show showcase to this episode of your invisible people fearing, history staging, twice dying TrophyTalk Podcast.
