About Jenny: The cofounder and Executive Director of the Integrative Healers Action Network (IHAN), a nonprofit that mobilizes trauma-informed, Jenny coordinates integrative health practitioners to support frontline communities impacted by climate disasters throughout California. Through IHAN, she has led statewide efforts to bring integrative care—including acupuncture, massage, and environmental health support—to first responders, evacuees, and underserved communities. She is also the founder of EcoWisdom, where she guides forest bathing experiences, weaving together mindfulness, somatic practices, and connection to the natural world. Her work bridges science, spirit, and community care to help people restore balance and resilience, especially in times of profound change.

From Disaster to Resilience: Jenny co-founded the Integrative Healers Action Network (IHAN) in 2017 after returning to Sonoma County just before the devastating wildfires.

Rapid Response Clinics

Supporting Firefighters: Jenny’s work expanded to helping first responders deal with physical injury, emotional trauma, and toxic exposure. Since 2020, the focus has shifted to long-term recovery and detox protocols (e.g., glutathione nebulizer treatments). High rates of cancer and mental health issues among firefighters require early intervention and ongoing care.

New Fire Threats: The LA fires of early 2024 marked a turning point: firefighters became severely ill, many hospitalized. A new danger: burning electric vehicle batteries, especially lithium, causing extreme toxicity. Jenny’s Personal Recovery: She is aware that also she has to take time to herself. She rejuvenates through forest bathing, spending time in redwoods and nature as a form of self-healing and mental reset.

Get Involved and volunteer: IHAN is a mostly volunteer-run nonprofit with a small part-time staff. Volunteers range from licensed healers to admin helpers—training is trauma-informed and available online. Donations of funds, supplies, supplements, and word of mouth are crucial to support continued efforts.

Mission and Vision for the future: IHAN’s mission is to transform trauma into resilience for climate disaster-affected communities. The organization prepares constantly while promoting self-care for its team and building a network of support before the next disaster hits.

Dearest friends — We welcome you to a new show in our Truly Amazing Women TV series. It is born from conversations that we had with dozens of our friends following the results of the November 2024 election. Understandably, many women are feeling deeply unsettled, anxious, or fearful. The planned changes carry significant implications. So we are expanding Cynthia’s Success in the City project and launching a group to bring all of us together in a caring community — Empowered Together. 

Our goal: We are creating a safe space to bring together Calm, Cool, Compassionate, Changemakers. We believe these are the new 4Cs of millions of beautiful diamonds we will send out to sparkle, shine, and keep peace in the world.

Silvia: Hello, Hope! I’m so happy to be here with you! 

 Hope: Without further ado, let’s get started with our 8 Inkandescent questions for this truly amazing woman! You started your career as a massage therapist before starting your current work as a psychotherapist. Look back at the last few decades and tell us about your path.

Silvia: My path was to follow my heart and soul, which meant to break with family tradition. To not submit to my parents’ expectation of taking over the family business in Austria has been one of my most painful and most rewarding tasks in my life. Coming to Santa Fe has saved my life. I found my tribe here: seekers, alternative healing arts, art and the incredible beauty of New Mexico.

A Note from Hope Katz Gibbs & Cynthia de Lorenzi, co-hosts, Truly Amazing Women — We are thrilled to introduce you to Brianna Ruelas, a Dallas-based Performing Artist Consultant, Realty TV music coach, and the author of the bestseller Make Reality TV Your Reality.

As a singer and performer for 30 years, Brianna studied internationally and performed in just about every genre — from jazz to rock to pop. She received a BA in Theatre Arts from Pepperdine University and spent the following years honing her musical theatre chops. Brianna later began pursuing music as a solo artist and worked as a commercial voiceover actor. She also fronted her rock band and experienced the reality TV craze in its early days as a Top 100 finalist on American Idol, Season 4.

“I know what it feels like to be up on that stage, and am passionate about supporting my clients to achieve success as a reality singing show winner, and leverage that experience to ignite their music careers,” she shares, noting that in 2022, she is re-launching her online course, the Reality Singing Show Success Academy.

A little more about Caryn: “Memorial is a 199-bed acute care hospital with a Level IV trauma center, chest pain center, NICU, PICU, bariatric and also one of the Joint Centers of Excellence,” explains the medical professional who previously worked with Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, TX, beginning as an RN in 1994 and serving as CNO from 2009 until 2018. Dr. Iverson received her nursing degree from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.  She completed her doctoral degree from the University of Phoenix, and her dissertation is “The Influence of Orientation Styles on Nurse Retention in the First Year of Employment.” She currently serves on the Advisory Board of the New Mexico State University School of Nursing and the Dona Ana Community College School of Nursing. She has been appointed to the Education Committee by the American Organization of Nurse Leaders and is the president-elect for the New Mexico Organization of Nurse Leaders. “I am committed to hands-on support of a collaborative, quality care team,” she insists.
