He invented a way to speed up and make chemical reactions cheaper, and on top of it: without waste. For this Danish scientist Morten Meldal received the Nobel Prize in chemistry in 2022. His "click chemistry" is now in widespread use and is utilised in the development of pharmaceuticals, for mapping DNA or creating new materials.
