Donald Trump's long-time aggression against Iran--abrogating the nuclear treaty, assassination officials, ramping up sanctions, and last June's prolonged attacks--is ramping up. So I talked to our good friend and one of the best-respected scholars of the region--Eskandar Sadeghi of the University of St. Andrews--about the current crisis . . . the ongoing brutal impact of sanctions--the inflation, shortages, damage to infrastructure; the harsh repression of the Iranian government; the regional context, especially Israel's aggression; and of course the U.S. threats to attack Iran again.
