After a brief conversation about finding the perfect baseball cap, Todd shares the latest WI gubernatorial non-announcement. Former Governor Tommy Thompson hasn’t said he will run, but he hasn’t said he won’t. Todd believes that this is just an effort to remain relevant and that Tommy Thompson won’t run for a fifth term as governor. 

At the bottom of the hour, we are joined by Kyle LaFond. He is the Founder, President, and CEO of Natural Contract Manufacturing and American Provenance, as well as a member of Main Street Alliance. As a business owner in Wisconsin, he has been directly impacted by President Trump’s tariffs and has an acute understanding of how they hurt his customers. 

As many of us know, the Trump administration is moving to defund the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which would dramatically affect the way Americans get information. Kyle LaFond also serves as President of the Friends Board of PBS Wisconsin, so he also has some insights on what will happen in our state if this goes through.
