Lt: Šeniai, kažkur Arkties tundroje, po pilku dangumi driekėsi balta sniego dykuma.
En: A long time ago, somewhere in the Arctic tundra, a white snow desert stretched under a gray sky.

Lt: Čia, vidury niekur, stovėjo mažutė, senoviška parduotuvėlė.
En: Here, in the middle of nowhere, stood a tiny, old-fashioned store.

Lt: Tai buvo vienintelė žmogaus buvimo užuomina šiame apleistame pasaulyje.
En: It was the only hint of human presence in this abandoned world.

Lt: Audrius ir Eglė atvyko į mažą parduotuvėlę.
En: Audrius and Eglė arrived at the small store.

Lt: Jie ruošėsi ekspedicijai į netoliese esantį kalno viršūnę, kur Eglė turėjo atlikti svarbius mokslinius tyrimus.

Lt: Eglė pakėlė antakį, skeptiškai stebėdama Audrių.

Lt: Jis paaiškino savo planą: jie užkops iki arčiau esančio ežero, kur buvo keletas paliktų atsargų iš ankstesnių ekspedicijų.
En: He explained his plan: they would climb to a nearby lake where some supplies had been left from previous expeditions.

Lt: „Šie maži mūsų turi ten atvesti,“ – tikino Audrius.

Lt: Eglei šis planas pasirodė rizikingas, bet galiausiai jie susitarė.

Lt: Jie pripildė kuprines tuo, ką galėjo rasti. Šiek tiek maisto, žibintuvėlių ir net kelias senas pūkines striukes, kurios dar kabojo pačioje parduotuvės gilumoje.
En: They filled their backpacks with what they could find: a little food, flashlights, and even a few old down jackets hanging in the depths of the store.

Lt: Išeidami iš parduotuvėlės, Audrius tvirtai suglaudė užpakaliniame kišenėje žemėlapį.
En: As they left the store, Audrius firmly tucked a map in his back pocket.

Lt: „Mes tai padarysime,“ – su šypsena pasakė jis.
En: "We can do this," he said with a smile.

Lt: Grįžtant nuo ežero, Audrius apsuko galvą į Eglę.
En: Returning from the lake, Audrius turned his head to Eglė.

Lt: „Ačiū, kad pasitikėjai manimi,“ – sakė jis.
En: "Thank you for trusting me," he said.

Lt: Eglė pakėlė galvą, šypsodamasi.
En: Eglė looked up, smiling.

Lt: „Dabar žinau, kad galime kartu įveikti bet kokią kliūtį.“
En: "Now I know we can overcome any obstacle together."

Lt: Ir taip, su naujai atrasta draugystės ir pasitikėjimo dvasia, jie tęsė savo kelionę per balto sniego platybes.
En: And so, with a newfound spirit of friendship and trust, they continued their journey across the vast expanses of white snow.

Lt: Kur nors, tarp debesų, išlindo saulės spindulėlis, tarsi švyturys, vedantis juos pirmyn.
