The source of fear is misplaced trust. If our trust is in ourselves, fear will come when we feel that we’re losing control. But in fact, to be captive to fear is to be a subject of Satan, since fear is his currency. Jesus robed Himself in flesh and tasted death so that He could break the fear of death that holds us captive. Our trust in Him sets us free from our bondage to fear.
