Tonight, we welcome a full moon total lunar eclipse in the mutable earth sign of Virgo. The truth is, this is a more Piscean and watery lunation than anything else. These are some of the most dissolved and sensitive and transcendent influences most of us will experience in our lifetime.

Will we use this opportunity to see the true nature of our reality? Or will we go down the drain of madness, buying into stories that feed fear, anxiety, and collective neurosis?

Keep the vibe high. Surf the changes. Feel the love wherever it arises. And remember this is all perfect, just as Virgo likes it.

The impact is burgeoning toward February 12th’s Full Moon in Leo, the fixed fire Lion. It’s a complex time - we must tune into our hearts and emotions while practicing forbearance. We’re asked to appeal to our wiser selves lest we act out.

The disruptor planet Uranus stands in a tense t-square to this Leo Moon as well as the Sun conjunct Mercury in Aquarius. Passionate Leo can feel entitled to lead and get its way; yet, detached Aquarius asks us to use our higher minds in making sane decisions. Meanwhile, we get to feel intensely, and use those feelings as information without acting out, making scenes, and causing real damage. This requires COURAGE.

HOME and CORE NEEDS are also highlighted with Mars’ continued retrograde in the super sensitive sign of Cancer. We may be struggling for stability when it comes to comfort. This contributes to extra-activated emotions and asks us to be strong in making choices that are mature and good for the long haul.

I’m not saying this is a comfortable Full Moon. But, it can show us our strength, wisdom, and fortitude. These gifts are available if we can hold the tension in the difficulty, allowing for creative solutions to shine forth.

Do you believe in magic?

It’s a high holy day, my friends. On February 1, Venus and Neptune and the Moon’s North Node are dancing together, conjunct in mystical Pisces, the most romantic sign of the Zodiac. This is a sweet aspect, and also extremely sensitive for the heart. Neptune, the natural ruler of Pisces, rules selfless spirituality and oneness; Venus is the lower octave of Neptune and oversees relationships, personal love, art, and beauty. The North Node tells us to pay close attention; it is our true north.

All of this comes together and kicks off our February month of Love. It is EXTRA amplified today, February 1, as it is the evening of the sacred holiday Imbolc, which means “in the belly of the Mother.” The seeds are getting ready to sprout below the earth. In Celtic tradition, February 2 marks the halfway point between Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. It is the beginning of the lambing season, and also honors Saint Brigid. Traditionally, one makes an offering to a sacred well or water spring. It’s a portal, a mystical time, and perfect for divination and magic. The wellspring of the heart has an opportunity to flourish, if we allow it.

On Wednesday, January 29, we welcome the New Moon in the fixed air sign of Aquarius, the Water Bearer and Truth Teller. Aquarius is also known as the outsider, the outlier, and the odd one out. The energy is trendsetting and frontrunning, forcing us to look at things in a fresh manner.

The symbolism of this lunation calls for shrewd self-honesty and a necessary detachment. It is about differentiating the reality of a person’s character from an ideal that we have put upon them. More than anything else, it requires courage to admit the truth.

We are getting clarity on the people in our life, personal and public. Are these individuals a part of your emerging tribe, or are they remnants of an old idea? Are we willing to break away from the pack in order to honor our own needs and nature?

Uranus, the ruler of this Aquarian New Moon, turns direct, which helps us pull out of the collective sludge of stuckness, giving us new vision and oomph to get moving.

It’s a potent time, with many gifts on the horizon; but these evolutionary offerings are not for the faint of heart. They require deep listening and “the courage to know one is already free and to act on it.” Therein lies your authentic genius. So take a few moments to drop in and receive.

Neptune, Venus, Saturn and the Moon's North Node join up in the sign of the Fishes this week and we continue our theme of collective chaos, disintegration, and messiness.

How do we move from confusion and vagueness into honesty and clear seeing? How do we pierce illusion and distortion, entering into a space where we can move toward that which is good and right and true for us?

The answer lies at least partially through connecting to our feelings and listening to our intuition. Through being comfortable with uncomfortable conversations and out-of-character blurts. And, we must grab on to the golden key: being okay with the mess.

On Monday, January 13, we are enveloped by a Full Moon in the cardinal water sign of Cancer, the most sensitive Crab. The Moon conjuncts volatile Mars, highlighting the recent disasters of coastal California and the Los Angeles firestorms. All of this makes for a heartbreaking-open opportunity to return to love and dissolve egoic identification and separation.

Unexpected resources rise up from our Past, our Dreams, and the Sea of Unity. The collective consciousness cannot be ignored as our evolutionary directive, the Moon’s Lunar North Node, has just moved into the sign of the non-dual sign of Pisces. Not only that, Neptune, Saturn, and Venus also in the sign of Oneness ordain that humility is in order and it’s time to realize that separation is an illusion.
