Sometimes it's implicit, sometimes it's explicit, but almost EVERY time is strategic and intentional. Black women are subjected to being forced into subordinate roles in comparison to their male counterparts--heck, some cannot even be next to a man on the pulpit. Comparisons equivalent to that of wicked, seductive, and manipulative. It is demanded that women stay in their roles-- especially in church. But-- I believe enough is enough! Girls just wanna have fun too! Join me as I explore the hypermasculinity, sexism, misogyny, and gender role expectations that exist within the Black Church.

However, sexuality is not as black and white as it is believed to be and more importantly, choosing not to have these conversations and moments of transparency have resulted in a severe misunderstanding of oneself and the world around.
