- Episode 253: Final episode
Episode Highlights:
- In spite of many great questions over the years, we’re simply not receiving anywhere close to a sufficient supply of questions to sustain the podcast.
- Answers to two final questions: (a) was it ever appropriate for an OT worshiper to offer their own sacrifice? (b) Is there such a thing as mourning too much?
20 min - Episode 252: Did Jesus descend to hell?

- There are no passages in the NT teaching that Jesus descended into hell.
- There several good reasons to believe that Jesus did not descend into hell. (Luke 23:43; John 19:30)
- The NT consistently associates our atonement with the cross.
- The song lyrics in question likely refer to hell in metaphorical terms.

18 min - Episode 248: How should we understand texts that seem to contradict election? Part 2Episode 248
Episode Highlights:
- 1 Tim 2:4 would only pose a contradiction of the doctrine of election if it meant, “God sovereignly wills all people without exception to be saved…”
- The interpretation, “God sovereignly wills all people without exception to be saved” can be excluded on theological grounds as it amounts to universal salvation. Dan 4:35; Isa; 14:27; John 3:36; Rom 2:5-8
- The most likely understanding of 1 Tim 2:4 is that God morally wills all kinds of people to be saved.
14 min - Episode 247: Episode 247: Should I take advantage of college debt relief from the government?Episode 247:Episode 247
Episode highlights:
- There is no such thing as true debt cancellation; just debt transfer. Col 2:13-14; Isa 53:5-6
- The debt relief program is essentially transferring debt to one’s neighbor without their consent, which violates Psa 37:21, Matt 5:12, and Matt 22:39.
