Truth, Fiction and the Hypocrisy In-between

Baxter and This One Guy sit down to discuss the positive outcomes of personal isolation during the pandemic. Not everything had to be negative from Netflix streaming and forced conversations with your spouse. After going back to work, and taking off the masks, what we learned about ourselves seemed to make the pandemic a necessary evil to slow down to grinding idiots. 

One doesn't simply Berimbolo in a bar fight. You don't pull guard in the streets. Two old, salty blackbelts discuss the evolution of BJJ as it seemingly has transformed into a club sport. What is the best submission defense? Spoiler alert... bite them. Tune into this podcast for more BJJ knowledge and hypocrisy. 

Baxter brings back Coca to discuss the subtle(weird) differences between fitness gym clientele and that of the knuckle-dragging BJJ community. Having a business minded discussion tends to be theoretical, as different models work for different people. But, why does martial arts culture bring in such a varying clientele? Why are fitness clients will to pay so much?

Strange things happen when a millennial and a Gen X'er attempt to diagnose the future consequences of Social Media.  How has the realm of social media softened the American teen? Baxterdameus called it in episode 2. How does a country get out of a Pandemic? Start a war. Sadly, here we go. So, why is Russia in the Ukraine? When you ask a veteran from Texas about the 1 year anniversary of the Biden election, things might go so off the rails, you forget to even discuss the election. Conspiracy theories, black VISA cards from the government, vaccination loopholes and true false laughter hiding some real pain. You have been warned; chaos is afoot. 

Bubba and Baxter discuss insulated friend groups and people who only experience the world through a like minded perception. Even though Baxter and Bubba do not share many of the same opinions on life, they somehow might find themselves in their own like-minded trap. Maybe. Not sure. One is on the spectrum and the other is pretty ambivalent about most things. From religion to Aspergers, David Beckham's ability to grab life by the pu$$y and the Pope's belief in evolution, this was my favorite podcast so far.

Nothing is going to solve racism faster than three white dudes. Sounds about correct. From forced equity training, to the financial business of woke culture, and the hypocrisy of White Fragility, nothing is safe. Be warned, this is a perspective from three inner city kids who are down, but not woke. 

The talented Arthur Ruff, of Ruffhouse Jiu Jitsu, sits down with Baxter to discuss the idea of competing over the age of 40. Professor Ruff travels down memory lane of his BJJ matches, Carlson Gracie and his friends in BJJ. Overall, it is a plethora of BJJ related experiences, opinions and support for Team Ibuprofen. 

Baxter and a great local educator sit down to discuss the reason why humans compete? Is competition necessary? Are humans pre-designed to be competitive? Can humans be innovative for the sake of improvement, or do we need competition to achieve greatness?
