It was an enlightening and sobering message this past Sunday as Pastor Rod talks about the death of SELF! He started by reiterating the need for a believer to spend time drinking in the presence of God in preparation to consume the Word of God. Pastor Rod explained the true purpose of death: it functions as a doorway to the specific anointing God has promised you! Death takes on a new dimension of importance as Pastor explained that there is no circumventing the requirement of passing through this gateway. He explored how your own will and desires must perish if you mean to attain to the immeasurable goodness God has already made ready for you! He drives home that you cannot hold on to anything and say that you are serving God; God makes clear that only ALL of you will suffice as an appropriate sacrifice!

It was a sobering Sunday as Teacher Melvine Walker revealed that the survival of the church was in jeopardy! She showed how the key to true discernment was a holy and sanctified life. She unveiled that love is the ultimate clarifier in identifying the workings of the flesh and the tactics of the adversary. Teacher Mel pulled no punches as she explained how one person’s sinful lifestyle and lack of spiritual insight weakens the spiritual strength of everyone attached to them.
