MAKE READY THE WAY. Isaiah 40:3; Matthew 3:1–3 KJV Before God sent His Son, He first sent a voice calling people to prepare their hearts. Isaiah's prophecy was fulfilled through John the Baptist, proving that God's Word never fails. Just as the roads were prepared for the arrival of an earthly king, our hearts must be prepared through repentance, faith, and surrender for the coming of Jesus Christ. This message challenges believers to remove spiritual obstacles, listen to God's voice, and receive Christ as King while His invitation is still extended. It is a timeless call to revival, readiness, and wholehearted devotion to the Savior. God prepares the heart that is willing to receive the King. If God says it once, we should listen. If God says it twice, we should pay even closer attention.

There are people today that are convinced that there is multiple way to get to heaven. Celebrities from time to time will boldly announce their faith that does not match what the bible teaches. Maybe you know someone that stands in this belief and struggle talking with them about the one and only way for us to get to heaven. The belief in Jesus Christ as our savior. Today Bro. In this evening message from Acts 10:1-8, Pastor Rockhill turns the congregation's attention to Cornelius, a Roman centurion of the Italian Regiment stationed in Caesarea. Though a Gentile of Gentiles—neither ethnically, religiously, nor ceremonially a Jew—Cornelius is presented as a devout God-fearer whose faith was sincere, whose household shared his devotion, and whose life overflowed with constant prayer and generous alms toward the poor. Pastor Rockhill's central burden is that God truly hears and receives the prayers and worship of His people. When the angel declares that Cornelius' prayers and alms have ascended as a memorial before God, echoing the grain offering of Leviticus 2, we learn that this Gentile's worship was accepted as a sweet-smelling aroma even though he was barred from the temple. Here the fulfillment of the covenant promise to Abraham comes into view, as the gospel presses beyond Israel to the Gentiles and the wall of separation begins to fall. Doctrinally, the sermon highlights worship in spirit and truth, the sufficiency of Christ's once-for-all sacrifice, and God's providential ordering of the encounter that will prepare both Cornelius and Peter. Pastor Rockhill draws a tender application for the believer: though we receive no angelic visitation, we may rest assured that in Christ our great High Priest, God is mindful of us, hears our prayers, and answers by the working of His Spirit, all to the glory of His name.

In a day of nihilism we need solid truths that will furnish the Church to enable it to stand

False religion despises the true God. Rather than glorify Him, it glorifies man's supposed wisdom. Without God, man has no wisdom. It is sad that so many want to follow false religion rather than know the truth. Jesus was never stumped by foolish people's ideas. He always had the right answer for them. He is the eternal Son of God.
