“I'm just Type A.” “I'm an introvert.” “I'm an Enneagram 8.” “That's just how I am.”
But what happens when the labels we use to describe ourselves become excuses for the behaviors we're called to change?
Personality tests, Enneagram numbers, and endless self-discovery tools have become part of everyday culture.
They've even found their way into Christian churches, women's ministries, and conversations about spiritual growth.
But just because something helps explain your behavior doesn't mean it excuses it. In this episode of Truth Over Trends, we're examining the Enneagram's origins, its growing influence in Christian circles, and the bigger problem with allowing personality labels to define our identity.
We're talking about the difference between self-awareness and self-justification, how easily we put ourselves and our children into boxes, and what Scripture actually teaches about transformation.
Because being naturally impatient doesn't excuse impatience. Being strong-willed doesn't excuse controlling behavior.
And being outspoken doesn't give us permission to be unkind.
Your personality may explain your tendencies, but it doesn't excuse your sin. Romans 12:2 doesn't call us to discover our personality type and remain there. It calls us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
God created us as individuals, but He never called us to use our personalities as permission slips to remain unchanged.
You are not defined by a number, a label, or a personality test.
Your identity is found in Christ.

What happens when we start asking ChatGPT questions we should be taking to God?
AI can write your prayers, explain Bible verses, offer parenting advice, and help you make decisions. It can sound knowledgeable, convincing, and even biblical. But just because something sounds like truth doesn't mean it is. Artificial intelligence is changing how we work, learn, parent, and even approach our faith.
And while some Christians are avoiding it altogether, others are embracing it without considering where the boundaries should be.
So where's the line between using a helpful tool and allowing it to become an authority in our lives?
In this episode of Truth Over Trends, we're tackling a conversation every Christian woman needs to consider: How do we navigate an AI-driven culture without outsourcing our God-given responsibility to think, question, and exercise biblical discernment? I'm sharing how I personally use AI as a busy mom, homeschooler, and business owner, where I believe we need to exercise caution, and why teaching our children to think critically matters more than ever.
We'll explore what Scripture teaches about testing what we hear, why AI-generated spiritual advice deserves scrutiny, and how to recognize when convenience is quietly turning into dependence.
Because the answer isn't to fear technology—or blindly follow it. Use the tools. Test the answers. Know your Bible. And never confuse artificial intelligence with godly wisdom.
Technology is changing faster than ever. God's Word remains the same. Find more episodes and resources at www.HealthyHolyMomlife.com

Most women don’t need more information about how to be healthy. We know we should move our bodies. Drink the water. Eat nourishing food. Get enough sleep. Manage stress. Take care of ourselves. Knowing isn’t usually the problem.
Doing it consistently is. In this episode of Truth Over Trends, I’m joined by Brooke Rozmenoski—also known as Brooke Rozzie—a Christian counselor, Functional Nutrition Coach, and founder of Faithfully Nourished.
We’re talking about the gap between knowing what to do and actually doing it: why motivation isn’t enough, what makes healthy habits sustainable, why accountability matters, and how to find the balance between giving ourselves grace and using grace as an excuse to stay stuck.
We also dig into the all-or-nothing mentality that tells us one missed workout, one chaotic weekend, or one imperfect meal means we’ve failed and need to “start over Monday.” Because lasting health isn’t built by constantly starting over. It’s built by continuing to show up. And as Christian women, this conversation goes deeper than changing our bodies.
Our health isn’t our identity, and pursuing health shouldn’t become an obsession. It’s an opportunity to faithfully steward the bodies God has entrusted to us.
You don’t have to change everything tomorrow. But eventually, the things you know have to become things you do. Connect with Brooke Brooke Rozmenoski is a Christian Counselor, Functional Nutrition Coach, and founder of Faithfully Nourished.

Every October, Christians seem to have the same debate: Should Christians participate in Halloween at all?
Is trick-or-treating harmless fun? What about costumes, pumpkins, harvest festivals, scary decorations, or the darker parts of Halloween? And at what point does a personal conviction become something we start requiring of every other Christian?
In this short episode of Truth Over Trends, Ingrid shares how her own family’s approach to Halloween has gradually changed over the years—and why she believes this conversation is about much more than simply deciding whether Halloween is “good” or “bad.”
We’re talking about what Scripture actually condemns, what may fall under Christian liberty, how Halloween can become an opportunity to teach our children biblical discernment, and why Romans 14 should make us very careful about judging another believer’s conscience in disputable matters.
You don’t have to blindly participate in everything the culture celebrates. But you also don’t have to turn your family’s personal convictions into commands Scripture never gave.
The better question may not be “Can Christians celebrate Halloween?”
It may be:
“How can our family honor Christ in the way we approach it?”
🎙️ Listen now, then come tell me: Has your family’s approach to Halloween changed over the years?

You love your kids. You want them grounded in God’s Word. You want to be intentional about what is shaping their hearts and minds.
But you don’t homeschool.
Maybe you can’t. Maybe you don’t feel called to. Maybe you’ve prayerfully chosen public, private, or Christian school for your family.
Does that mean you’ve somehow handed over your role in discipling your children?
Absolutely not.
In this episode of Truth Over Trends, I’m sitting down with Carrie De Francisco of Coffee With Carrie Homeschool Help to talk about an important distinction:
Education and discipleship are not the same thing.
Carrie is a retired home educator, teacher, author, speaker, podcast host, and homeschool coach with a BS in Education and an MA in Math Education. She’s also a wife, mom of two adult children, mother-in-law, and soon-to-be Mimi.
We’re talking about how Christian parents can remain intentional about discipling their children regardless of where they go to school—how to stay engaged with what they’re learning, navigate cultural influences without parenting from fear, weave faith into ordinary family life, and remember what we can and cannot control as our children grow.
Because homeschooling can be a wonderful educational choice.
But homeschooling isn’t the Gospel. And it isn’t a prerequisite for faithful Christian parenting.
Whether your children learn around your kitchen table or spend their weekdays in a classroom, their greatest need is the same:
They need Christ.
And you still have countless opportunities to faithfully point them toward Him.

Don’t follow the trends. Follow the Truth.
You’re getting the kids dressed.
You’re getting everyone out the door.
You’re sitting in the church pew.
You’re opening the Bible at home.
You’re praying for your children.
You’re trying to faithfully point your family toward Christ…
But your husband isn’t walking alongside you spiritually.
What do you do when you’re the one carrying much of the spiritual responsibility for your children—and you desperately wish you weren’t doing it alone?
In this episode of the Truth Over Trends Podcast, I’m sitting down with my friend Sara, a woman from my own church who has actually walked this road.
Sara came to know Christ later in life, after her marriage and family were already established. As her faith changed, she found herself learning how to follow Christ, take her children to church, and point them toward the Lord without necessarily having her husband walking beside her spiritually.
Today, Sara has been married for nearly 43 years. Her children are grown, she’s now a grandmother, and she has something incredibly valuable to offer the mom who’s still in the middle of it:
Perspective from the other side.
We’re talking honestly about:
This isn’t an episode about criticizing husbands who aren’t attending church.
It’s an episode about encouraging the woman who is faithfully showing up anyway.
You cannot save your children.
You cannot change your husband.
But you can faithfully follow Christ, love your family, disciple your children, pray, and trust God with what you cannot control.
And if you’re the woman getting everyone ready for church by yourself again this Sunday, I especially hope you’ll listen.

Prayer matters.
God’s Word matters.
Faith matters.
But sometimes the woman who’s struggling also needs someone to recognize that something isn’t okay—and help her get appropriate care.
In this episode of the Truth Over Trends Podcast, we’re having an important conversation about Christianity and mental health—and the tension between two extremes.
On one side, our culture can be quick to diagnose and medicate every difficult emotion.
On the other, Christians can sometimes respond to genuine mental-health struggles with little more than, “Just pray about it.”
I don’t believe either extreme gives us the whole picture.
We’re talking about what it looks like to approach mental health with biblical wisdom, prayer, discernment, compassion, and appropriate medical care when it’s needed.
We’ll talk about:
This episode isn’t about replacing prayer with medicine.
And it isn’t about replacing biblical truth with a diagnosis.
It’s about refusing to make women choose between faith and appropriate care.
Maybe you’re the woman who needs permission to finally say:
“I’m not okay. I need help.”
Or maybe there’s a woman in your life who needs you to look beyond “I’m fine” and ask one more question.
Either way, I hope you’ll listen—and then share this episode with another Christian woman.

I put my husband in the hot seat… and you all picked the questions. 😅🔥
I asked the women in our Christ Over Culture Moms community what they REALLY wanted to ask a Christian husband—and they did not hold back.
Does it bother him to come home to a messy house? Should a husband recognize when his wife is drowning without her having to ask for help? What does biblical headship actually look like—and when does leadership cross the line into control? How can a wife lighten her husband’s load? And what happens to a man’s role as provider and leader when life gets hard?
Matt had no idea where this conversation was going, and I think you’re going to want to hear his answers. 👀
This one is honest, practical, a little uncomfortable at times, and definitely one you’ll want to send to your husband.
🎙️ Husband Hot Seat is officially open.
And after you listen, I want to know: What question should I put him on the spot with next time? 😏🔥
The world tells women:
“If you can just change your body, you’ll finally change your life.”
Lose the weight.
Fit into the jeans.
Find the perfect diet.
Start over on Monday.
But what if that’s the biggest lie the diet industry has been selling us all along?
In this episode of the Truth Over Trends Podcast, we’re reframing health through a biblical lens. Instead of chasing quick fixes, perfection, or another number on the scale, what if we pursued our health the same way God grows us spiritually—through faithful stewardship and daily obedience?
If you’ve ever felt trapped in the cycle of dieting, guilt, and starting over, this episode is for you.
✨ In this episode:
This isn’t another diet plan.
It’s an invitation to think differently about your body, your health, and the God who entrusted both to you.

You can be married.
You can have wonderful children.
You can faithfully attend church.
You can be surrounded by people every single day…
…and still feel incredibly alone.
If you’ve ever wondered, “Is it just me?”—this episode is for you.
After an encouragement challenge inside my Christian moms community, one thing became abundantly clear: so many women are quietly carrying loneliness, discouragement, and the weight of motherhood without anyone knowing.
In this episode of the Truth Over Trends Podcast, we’re talking about why so many Christian moms feel alone, what Scripture says about biblical community, and why God never intended us to walk through motherhood in isolation.
✨ In this episode:
Whether you’re a stay-at-home mom, homeschooling mom, working mom, or somewhere in between, my prayer is that this episode reminds you of one simple truth:
You are not the only one.
