Truth that Transforms

Main Point: Jesus teaches His disciples to stay focused and committed in four areas so that God is glorified in each believer and in His church.

Main Point: Jesus explains His coming suffering and death, but his disciples respond with incomprehension and pride. Jesus answers by teaching them, and us, that the true character of greatness is humbly serving others for the glory of God.

Main Point: Jesus teaches His disciples that all things are possible for God and calls us to a humble, dependent, praying faith in our great Father.

Main point: Jesus provides a preview of the Son of Man coming in glory and proves that suffering and resurrection, the cross and exaltation are linked in Christ’s life and in ours.

Main point: Jesus explains the cost of following Him. If you lose your life for Jesus and the gospel, you gain true life and glorify Him. But if you live for self, you lose your life and He is ashamed of you.
