Is it difficult to see ourselves as we are? As a country? As individuals? If there are enough people in denial, could we claim a brand-new reality? That sound coming from the closet is real. Unfortunately, the boogie man exists. What we need is a "Chuck Norris" to save us all. In the meantime, "Don't Get Got" and keep your head on a swivel.

What are the laws of Humanity? Does being part of a Tribe lead to having relationships that have emotional depth? The polarization that exists in our political landscape appears to be leading us as Americans to becoming a divided society. Is a Unified nation possible for the United States? Or should I ask what actually unites us today? Do we have an identity that is clear anymore? In this episode we look at how we are being divided and why we need to be together.

You may be uncomfortable with this topic. I was uncomfortable having this conversation. Some topics we take on with the Truth to Power podcast will lose followers. I hope this isn't the case. If I can learn something that I did not know yesterday, I have grown. Are you interested in growth? Sometimes growth is uncomfortable. I don't know if I am particularly qualified to take on the topic of Willie Lynch and the making of a slave, but on this 3-album project that takes a look at modern day social issues through the lens of rap, how do I not address racial issues? Ace and I have difficult conversations. It is our thing. We want to grow and see the world differently than we did yesterday. That takes being vulnerable enough to take chances. I hope we don't lose fans, but honestly, we aren't doing this podcast to make everyone feel good fuzzy feelings. Some topics will make you uncomfortable, are you ready for that? This podcast is about confronting our spirit in a search for Truth in order to connect with the world around us and grow. I hope you find something here that I haven't found in much of the media today. Authentic humans simply being human, which is never perfect. On this episode we took some chances. You will either love us more or leave us here. Those that stay will know we are committed to you.

Are we free? Are we ruled? What value would you place on a high school diploma? $7.25? Are minimum wage lives lifelong suicide? Ace and I try to get on the same page with this one. Ironically, we look at the education system here in the states but through the lens of self-esteem. What value do we place on ourselves? Do we deserve better? Do we believe better is possible or are we comfortable enough to look the other way?  

I believe education holds a solution to every problem we face in the world today. But do we have a curriculum that works? Does the structure of the public education system serve us or keep us dumbed down and in a state of subserviate passivity. This is Truth to Power that touched a nerve on the show. Dangerous curves ahead!
