Chad and Terry dig into the original language and show why “calling on the Lord” is not a throwaway religious phrase, but an appeal that places your whole life under the authority of a King.

From that foundation, we walk into the Sermon on the Mount and the hard sayings of Jesus in Matthew 5. Jesus doesn’t just tell us not to murder. He goes after anger, contempt, and the insults we excuse as “just words.” He doesn’t just prohibit adultery. He exposes lust and objectification as heart-level betrayal, and he uses shocking language to show how deadly sin really is. We also talk through divorce, vows, and why integrity means your yes stays yes without fancy oaths or loopholes.
