Truth Unbound with Walter Swaim

Is Christianity Really Declining in America? Why?

The Pew Research Center recently released its survey and findings on the state of Christianity in America and the news is not good for the church. In the USA, Christianity specifically is declining rapidly.  On the other hand, those who do not affiliate with any organized religion - the “nones” - are increasing.  By the year 2070 Christianity will be a minority religion in the US - or is it?  Some are skeptical of the recent studies but a general decline in interest in Christianity is evident.  But why is that? What is going on spiritually in the US?  Are the “nones” totally uninterested in spiritual things?  How do faithful followers of Jesus respond to this distressing news? Dr. Walt Swaim helps us to sift through all the the data and find a biblical response to this immensely crucial dilemma.

Barna Survey Finds Most Pastors Don’t Have a Biblical Worldview

What if your pastor really didn’t hold a biblical viewpoint on many issues? On major doctrines? Or even about how one can be saved? Dr. Barna and his Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University has another revelation from its survey published earlier this year (2022). They found most pastors of only one certain denominational grouping had a biblical worldview. What is a biblical worldview? How can so many church leaders fail in holding to the most basic beliefs from God in the Bible? Dr. Walt Swaim helps us understand the confusion and how to protect yourself and your church from it.

Have the Culture Wars come to Christian schools?

Two Christian schools in Florida and Louisiana were confronted with the issues of gender, sex, and same sex marriage.  One school has even received death threats because of their biblically based policy regarding sexuality and relationships.  The other removed a student due to the parents same sex marriage.  Can Christian schools do this? On what basis - legal or spiritual?  Is there any good way to prepare or respond to these cultural pressures on religious schools that hold to biblical values?  Dr. Walt Swaim gives a report on these events and then responds with a biblical worldview.

Social Justice Warrior Machines That Learn To Censor You?

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) just hired radical leftist activist Meredith Whittaker as an advisor.  She is a proponent of what is called Machine Learning Fairness.  Then the Word Economic Forum calls for Artificial Intelligence enhanced with Truth and Safety Teams to learn how to sniff out and censor people with views the elites don’t like or want disseminated freely.  All of this also has a biblically prophetic ring to it.  What does it all mean?  Dr. Walt Swaim helps to take us through the labyrinth of it all and know a biblical worldview and response to it.

What Does God Say About Witches & Witchcraft?

Recently the last woman of Salem, Massachusetts, condemned wrongfully as a witch in 1693, was exonerated - over 320 years later. Witchcraft and the occult have grown in popularity in recent years in the US. What is it and is it a good thing for people and the society we live in? Should the Christian be involved in any of its forms? What does God say about witchcraft, sorcery and the occult? Dr. Walt Swaim helps to shine the light of God’s truth on the darkness of the occult, and what the believer’s attitude towards it should be.
