Today Chapter 4:1-11 in the Book of Ruth Boaz (the kinsman redeemer) goes to the gate
and negotiate to redeem Naomi's inheritance (Husband Elimech).Boaz had to talk with
the nearest relative about buying back the inheritance which included the land the
women etc…..

Chapter 3 Ruth is instructed to go to the
“threshing floor” Ruth went to Boaz because she knew he could redeem the family’s
name-heir. Naomi gave Ruth instructions on how to communicate and ask Boaz for his
help. Naomi gave Ruth instructions to go to Boaz at the threshing floor and ask him to
spread his covering/wings over her. This was asking for Boaz to marry Ruth according to
the law of a close relative/ redeemer to raise up an heir for the dead
