  • More Than Meets The Eye
The last few weeks we have been reading and listening to the final six chapters of the book of Daniel. These chapters contain three visions that Daniel receives from God—visions that reveal to him, in stark and troubling images, the hand of God at work among the nations. The first two visions occupy a chapter each, but the final vision is spread across the last three chapters of the book. Daniel describes it as "a great conflict." Chapter 10 sets the scene for this final vision. And in it, Daniel is shown a shocking truth: there is more going on than meets the eye. Behind the scenes of human history there is a spiritual conflict taking place between principalities and powers. And remarkably, Daniel's prayers are caught up in God's purposes within that unseen conflict. What Daniel sees is troubling. What he cannot see is even more significant. Because behind the visible events of history, God is at work.

  • 26-08-30 AI in Christian Thought
AI in Christian Thought Faith Debate: Sunday, August 30th, 2026 (09/06/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) What's "Artificial Intelligence"? Before we respond to AI, we must understand it refers to computational systems trained on massive datasets to recognize patterns, generate outputs, & simulate reasoning. It doesn't possess consciousness, a soul, or genuine understanding in a meaningful sense. Large Language Models are trained on human-generated text. They reflect/amplify whatever values/assumptions/worldviews that dominate training data. The distinction between narrow AI & general AI is critical for calibrating a response appropriately. AI is a human artifact, not a rival to humanity. It's a tool made by image-bearers, not an image-bearer itself, so calling it "intelligent" is a category error. Let's define terms carefully. This episode is part 3 of a 5-part conversation (piggybacking on a 2-part AI discussion from earlier in 2026). • Peace in Uncertain Times
In this episode of Contending for the Word Q&A, Dave Jenkins explains how Christians can have peace in uncertain times. Drawing from Isaiah 26:3 and Philippians 4:6–7, this episode considers the difference between worldly peace and the peace of God. Worldly peace depends on favorable circumstances, but biblical peace is rooted in the unchanging character and faithfulness of God. Christians are called to fix their minds on the Lord, bring their concerns to Him in prayer, and rest in His promises. Though uncertainty is real, God remains faithful, and His peace guards the hearts and minds of His people in Christ Jesus. • What The Grace of God Does for The Redeemed
From Titus 2:11-15, Bro. John Deaton of Calvary Baptist Church in Evening Shade, AR, shows that the grace of God does more than save sinners from judgment. Grace teaches the redeemed to deny ungodliness, look for Christ's appearing, live as a purified people, and serve under God's authority. This message calls believers to let grace shape their desires, hope, works, and service in the present world, remembering that Christ gave Himself to redeem a people for Himself.
