  • 26-09-27 Meet Christiana
Meet Christiana Faith Debate: Sunday, September 27th, 2026 (10/04/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) Does history warn against Christian avoidance of "Artificial Intelligence"? In other words, are saints today repeating the strategic error of early 20th-Century fundamentalism? In the 1920s–1940s significant sectors of Christianity responded to cultural/intellectual hostility by withdrawing from universities, media, & public institutions; a posture that ceded enormous cultural influence for generations. The result wasn't the preservation of orthodoxy so much as the marginalization of orthodox Christianity from the formation of cultural institutions. Figures such as J Gresham Machen fought against this withdrawal, arguing that Christians must engage & reform institutions, rather than abandon them. The Faith Debate wondered if Christian avoidance of AI is the beginning of another decades-long strategic retreat that future generations will lament, asking if separation from culture has ever produced a more Christian culture. Can the church sanctify what it abandons? You're encouraged to go listen to these shows. In the meantime, this episode is part 2 of a 4-part conversation on the subject of spiritual visions/apparitions. • The Perfect Law of Liberty; A Living Vibrant Faith Part 8 (Studies in James)
This sermon explores the concept of the "perfect law of liberty" found in James 1, arguing that God's Word is not a restrictive burden but the source of true freedom. The message emphasises that genuine hearing of Scripture must result in active obedience, requiring believers to cast aside sin and prepare their hearts to receive divine truth. Using the metaphor of a mirror, the text contrasts a casual glance at one's spiritual state with the intense, deliberate examination required to live according to God's precepts. The sermon calls for a transformation of life, character, and speech, warning against a superficial religion that lacks the fruit of repentance and service. Ultimately, it presents surrender to the Bible as the path to a life that is free, blessed, and distinct from the world.

  • Sola Scriptura - Scripture Alone
This sermon explores the doctrine of Sola Scriptura, asserting that the Bible is the final and infallible authority for Christian faith and practice. The teaching emphasizes the divine inspiration of Scripture, explaining that because the text is God-breathed, it is free from error and possesses supreme authority over human tradition, cultural opinion, and church hierarchy. Historical examples from the Reformation, including the lives of Martin Luther and William Tyndale, illustrate the necessity of submitting to the Word rather than ecclesiastical control. The message concludes by affirming the sufficiency of Scripture for all aspects of the Christian life, from worship and evangelism to personal sanctification, urging believers to rely exclusively on the Bible as the living and active standard for truth.

  • NOT: Hollywood love
The World's love is like "hollywood love", fleshly, temporal, fake, counterfeit, unrealistic, unholy, unheavenly, ungodly, and it ends! God's Love, by contrast, is radically opposite; it is endless Eternal Spiritual Love. It is Love Personified; Jesus Christ. Thus, Christ's Love, is Heavenly, Truth, Pure, Realistic, Holy, Spiritual, and 100% LOVE! In The Crown-piece of Scripture, The Song of Solomon, graphically illustrates this radical contrast of these two different kinds of loves!

  • Exodus 9B-10
This sermon examines the plagues of hail, locusts, and darkness in Exodus as a call to self-examination and genuine repentance. The central message contrasts Pharaoh's repeated hardening of his heart with the mercy God extends to those who seek shelter in Jesus Christ. It emphasizes that true faith requires a change of action, not just verbal confession, and warns against the spiritual blindness that rejects God's light. The preacher urges the audience to intercede for the lost and to ensure their children are grounded in Christian truth rather than worldly success. Ultimately, the message asserts that only Christ provides the final refuge from judgment, and believers must respond to His voice before it is too late.
