This is quite a deep, but spiritually satisfying message on understanding WHY we, as Christians, find it so hard to live the way we should in this world!

Christ ordained a new body comprised of Jew & Gentile alike. It was threatened even during Pauls ministry. It is crucial to the truth and its presence & proclamation it this world.

Sanctification is not simply trying harder or modifying outward behavior. It is the supernatural work of God through the Holy Spirit. In this episode, Dave Jenkins explains how the Holy Spirit indwells believers, convicts them of sin, uses God's Word to transform them, empowers obedience, and continually points them to Christ. This sermon explores Psalm 10 as a continuation of Psalm 9, highlighting the tension between the believer's experience of God's absence and the theological truth of His sovereignty. The text examines the confident arrogance of the wicked, who oppress the poor and act in practical atheism, contrasting this with the righteous who, despite feeling abandoned, trust that God sees and will ultimately judge. The preacher emphasizes that while emotions of distress are legitimate, faith must remain anchored in the conviction that God is just and will vindicate the afflicted. By connecting this psalm to Romans 3, the message underscores that all humans are prone to sin, yet God remains both just and the justifier. The sermon concludes by encouraging believers to use the Psalms as a guide for prayer, trusting that God's justice will prevail even when it feels distant.

Proverbs 25:25 - "As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country." The gospel is indeed goods news, and comes from a far country, from heaven down to men. The gospel is the truth that will quench the thirst of the soul.
