When you hate your job!   Or when you think your job stinks!   Or when you think the job you do doesn't matter.  Why work?  Why bother doing a good job?  Who cares anyway?  And further more, I don't like my Boss.  When you think your Boss is nothing but a Santa Claus with a chuck of coal for your stocking, there is a silver lining in this gloomy moment called WORK.  Your work (No matter what it is) matters.  It's a matter of attitude and something else....
