We look into Psalm 57 at a scene in the life of David, when he fled from Saul in a cave, and find encouragement for our hearts in the current circumstances surrounding the Coronavirus. There is much to strengthen our faith, and stir up our hope in this poem and song of David.

These verses describe the power and authority of the Gospel of Christ and how it debases man's pride, reveals the folly of man's wisdom, and leaves all men in need of the salvation of God.

We take a look at Paul's God-given commission- the Apostle's priority in the ministry was to preach Christ and His cross.

We hear a Call for Unity in the church from the Lord through Paul in 1 Cor. 1-10-16. The Apostle's godly concern for the saints can be seen as he points them to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul says, -God is faithful...-, and we continue to look at the Faithfulness of God. This eternal truth is founded on the very nature of God Himself and is disclosed throughout the Scriptures. It has also been displayed throughout the history of God's people in their experiences. Over and over again God has proven Himself faithful in all things and at all times.

Because of God's gracious and generous work among the Corinthians, Paul reflects back on the time when there was proof, prominence, and patience among the Church. The testimony of Christ had been confirmed among them and they were waiting for the Imminent and Pre-tribulation return of Christ for His Church.

We look now at words that should command our affection for Christ in chapter 1-4-5. Christ has bestowed saving grace and spiritual gifts upon the saints in Corinth. Paul is thankful in behalf of the Corinthian Christians for the memory of God's grace among them.

A look into 1 Cor. 1-2-3 at the Favor of God. The saints have spiritual blessings such as grace and peace which flow from God above who is the Benefactor, Father, and Savior of all those who come unto Him through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We saw the will of God in verse 1- we look now to the church of God in verse 2.

This is the beginning message in a series that will take us through 1 Corinthians the Lord willing. The first nine verses provide an introduction to this letter, but also lay a proper foundation for any church that wants to be -perfectly joined together- as found in chapter 1-10.
