This week we begin a new series from our lecture archives that was a January InterTerm  class by Allen P. Ross called Exegesis of Exodus.  In this introductory lecture Dr. Ross defines the different perspectives that he will use to view the book during the class, namely: historical, theological, and ancient near eastern.  He defines a few common criticisms of the historicity of the miracles in Exodus, and emphasizes abundance of Christological teachings in the text.

This week we return to J.I. Packer's 1998 June InterTerm class.  During this lecture Dr. Packer explains the usefulness of Hermeneutics as a discipline for both Pastors and those in theological academia.

This episode was recorded in February of 2021.  It is an interview with the Rev. Dr. Les Fairfield about his most recent book Learning the Anglican Story.  The interview is led by the Rev. Dr. Joel Scandrett.  Their discussion focuses on the subject of church history, and how to best preserve it for later generations.  Dr. Fairfield gives his opinion on the true historical start of Anglicanism as a denomination of Christianity, relates some of his favorite stories of faith throughout  Anglican Church history, and gives insight into what he believes the future might hold for Christendom.  We hope that this episode enriches your appreciation for the Lord's guiding hand on his church throughout history.

This week the president of the North American Lutheran Seminary (NALS), the Rev. Dr. Eric Riesen, interviewed one of this year's InterTerm teachers—the Rev. Dr. Mark Mattes, adjunct professor of theology for the NALS, and professor of theology and philosophy at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa.

Their conversation travels across a wide array of topics, but is focused around Dr. Mattes' most recent book Luther and Beauty.
