Dr. Mattes is the Chair of Philosophy and Religion at Grand View University.  He is also an adjunct Professor of Theology for the North American Lutheran Seminary (NALS) which is housed at Trinity School for Ministry.

Their conversation ranges from talking about the theme of Dr. Mattes' most recent book, Martin Luther’s Theology of Beauty—A Reappraisal, to the Lutheran emphasis on justification through faith alone, finally coming around to how we can better love our neighbors in these tumultuous and confusing times.
