TSN 1040 Canucks reporter Jeff Paterson breaks down Nikolay Goldobin's season last year where he struggled to gain the trust of Travis Green. And he's still not exactly sure where there may be a spot for him in the top six.

NHL analyst Jamie Mclennan joined the show.

TSN’s Jamie McLennan believes that attending training camp is very important for Brock Boeser and the Canucks. Jamie says with the Canucks to take a step forward this year, everyone needs to be on he same page and if Boeser ends up missing any time in camp, that could trickle into the regular season and could even affect the locker room.

TSN's Farhan Lalji says it's no indictment on Bryan Chiu but at times, the Lions offensive line looked like they were play without technique. Farhan says the Lions changed personnel but when that didn't improve the OLine, something had to happen and that was to fire the coach.

Lions GM Ed Hervey had a message to fans, saying he understands the frustration but that he and his staff are working very hard to come out successful. Ed says they made it a priority to protect Mike Reilly and that wasn't happening, so at the end of the day, something had to change. Ed also doesn't think there is a lack of leadership but does question some players ability to move on when things go bad.

Vasek Pospisil believes the governing structure in tennis isn't fair to the players as they don't have a voice and have very little influence on decisions that directly affect them. Vasek says when he had his surgery, he decided he wanted to be a man of action, to try and get something done for the players and revolutionize the sport.
