Ray says that stems from his time with the Coyotes when they had a cheap payroll and he was forced to win by any means necessary.

TSN1260's Jason Strudwick likes the hire of Dave Tippett because when he played against Tippett teams, you always knew his teams would play hard and get in on the forecheck. Jason says the Oilers have puck moving defencemen in the system but doesn't believe those players can significantly help next season so Ken Holland has to sell Tippett on patience with the defence.

Hockey Prospects Radio Shane Malloy says a prospects stock won't rise or fall based on their physical testing at the scouting combine, but stock can be affected if they really bomb the interview process. Shane also says the gap is really small between Jack Hughes and Kappo Kakko for the first overall pick, however Shane would always go with a centre over a winger.
