Doug Maclean still sees Quinn Hughes as a kid that needs major support on the right side, especially defensively as he continues to develop into a super star. Doug also doesn’t like the term and dollar figure associated with Oliver Ekman-Larsson’s contract.

TSN1040’s Rick Dhaliwal joins Donnie and Moj to discuss what he is hearing out of the Canucks camp. Rick says the Canucks are going to qualify Tyler Motte & are working on a new deal with him & the team is close to signing Zack MacEwan to a 1 or 2 year deal. Rick also says he is hearing nothing in terms of Troy Stecher.

TSN’s Farhan Lalji isn’t a big fan of the Canucks potentially trading for Oliver Ekman-Larsson because he feels it could cost the Canucks the ability to get better in other areas.

Kevin Epp, agent to Oliver Ekman-Larsson & Jake Virtanen, says OEL signed in Phoenix/Arizona to be there for his career but things change when a new owner/management team comes in & it wasn't their decision to sign him to the long-term deal. Kevin also says they expect a qualifying offer from the Canucks for Jake Virtanen today.

Shane Malloy is very high on Russian goaltender Yaroslav Askarov. Shane says if a team feels he could start at 20 or 21 years old, which is reasonable, then he would have no problem with a team taking him in the top 5 & even the LA Kings taking him at number 2 overall.

The guys hit the top 2 at 1, Is it just me and NFL analyst Ross Tucker joined the show.

Ross Tucker says from now on, he’s no longer taking the under because there really aren’t many teams in the NFL that are playing good defence. Ross says without the fans, there’s not external factor that can slow factors down.
