Afternoon drive host on 98.7FM Phoenix John Gambadoro says he was not a fan of John Chayka at all as he made a lot of bad deals while GM. John also says from what he has heard (but not confirmed), Chayka had another job in connection with a group that had some ownership ties to a hockey team & it would pay him three to four times the money he was making with the Coyotes.

Chief Content Officer at the NHL Steve Mayer says he’s very proud of what the NHL has put together for the TV broadcast because they’ve made it a “made for TV” event. Steve also says when Edmonton & Toronto were chosen, they looked a lot at Google Maps & pictures but the lay out for the hub cities didn’t come together until they actually got to the cities.
