The Bible shows us that hardening our hearts toward God is a very dangerous place to be. Pastor Bill points out Pharoah in the book of Exodus as a stark example: after Pharoah kept hardening his heart, he essentially reached a point of no return. This is why it’s important for us to take God seriously – His grace is abundant, but if we keep refusing to submit to Him, we put ourselves in a grave situation. So Pastor Bill urges us to soften our hearts and yield to God, instead of becoming hard-hearted.
