From Holy Relics to Holy Rollies.
After surviving Spiral (barely), the Tuesday Cinema Club is back and, against all odds, has somehow graduated from mere movie-watchers to actual filmmakers! In this very special Season 3, Episode 2, we dive headfirst into the world of our own creation: the premiere of our short film, Congo2.
But because this is the Tuesday Cinema Club, we can't just talk about our artistic genius. No, we must first confront the baffling, cinematic mystery that is The Shroud (2024), starring our problematic fave, Crownburb. Is it a tense thriller? A philosophical meditation on faith? Or just a really long, dark walk in the woods with a suspiciously well-lit ancient artifact?
Join us as we try to make sense of Crownburb's dramatic gravitas, the film's questionable theology, and whether the 'shroud' in question might actually be a metaphor for the fog in our brains after all these horror movies. Then, prepare yourselves for an exclusive, highly-unprofessional, and utterly biased peek behind the scenes of Congo2, proudly sponsored by our new partners in cinematic crime, RollieEgg. We'll discuss our "creative process," our "vision," and how many times we almost accidentally set the set on fire.
Warning: May contain extreme levels of self-congratulation, followed by immediate self-doubt.
